Solana Mobile Launches SKR Airdrop for Seeker Phone Users

Seeker users can now claim and stake SKR tokens in the Solana Mobile ecosystem, unlocking rewards, governance, and app participation. The SKR airdrop, which was announced on January 21, marks a significant milestone in Solana Mobile’s efforts to create an open, community-driven mobile platform.

SKR Airdrop Details

Eligible Seeker users can claim SKR directly from the Seed Vault Wallet on their device by opening the Activity Tracking tab and completing the application process. A small Solana (SOL) token balance is required to cover network fees. Users have 90 days to claim their allocation, after which unclaimed tokens will be returned to the airdrop pool.

Developers who delivered approved apps to the Solana Mobile dApp Store during Season 1 will also be able to claim their SKR through the publishing portal. This move rewards early developers who helped bring the Seeker platform to life. In total, approximately 2 billion SKR tokens, about 20% of the fixed supply of 10 billion, have been allocated to users and developers.

The Role of SKR and Token Economics

SKR acts as both a governance and utility token within the Solana Mobile ecosystem. It supports staking, community governance, app discovery and curation in the decentralized app store, and device security through a system called Guardians. Staking is now active, allowing holders to delegate their SKR tokens and earn rewards, with inflation events occurring every 48 hours.

At the time of writing, SKR was trading at around $0.0101, with a market value of approximately $56.6 million. There are currently around 5.7 billion tokens in circulation, and the fully diluted value of the token is approximately $99.3 million.

Trading Activity and Early Market Reaction

The token is listed on major Solana decentralized exchanges, including Raydium, Jupiter, Orca, and Meteora. In addition to DEXs, SKR is also active on several centralized exchanges, such as Crypto.com, Bybit, KuCoin, Gate.io, and Bitget. The initial price movement was volatile, which is typical for newly issued tokens after launch.

Contrary to short-term speculation, Solana Mobile has emphasized that the long-term value of SKR is related to participation and usage of the ecosystem. With SKR officially live, Solana Mobile confirmed that Seeker season 2 is already underway, bringing new apps, rewards, and activity-based incentives as the company continues its evolution towards a community-focused, open mobile platform.
