Defillama Delisting Aster Perpetual Futures volume data

-

Decentralized financing platform Defillama has delisted Aster Decentralized Exchange platform (DEX) perpetual futures volume data due to concerns over data integrity, according to 0xngmi, a pseudonymous co-founder of Defillama. The decision was made after an analysis of the platform’s data, which showed a suspicious correlation between Aster’s trading volume and that of another platform, Bony.

0xngmi stated that the commercial volume on Aster, which is connected to CZ, the co-founder of the Binance Crypto Exchange, is now “almost accurate Bony-Sennic Dimensions.” The correlation ratio between Bony and Aster trading volume is approximately, raising concerns about the accuracy of the data. 0xngmi added that Aster does not allow data to be obtained at a lower level, making it difficult to verify whether wash trading is occurring.

CoinTelegraph reached out to the Aster team but had not received a response at the time of publication. In September, Aster emerged as a competitor to Hyperliquid, a decentralized eternal crypto-futures exchange, and has attracted significant attention from the crypto community due to its connections to CZ and its popularity.

Analysts Weigh In on Aster’s Potential

The open interest in Aster rose over 33,500% in less than seven days in the week of September 24th, indicating significant demand for the eternal futures DEX and commercial activity with Hyperliquid. According to Defi Analytics Platform Defillama, the daily perpetual trade volume rose to an all-time high of $60 billion on September 25th.

Market analyst Marcell predicted in September that Aster’s price could still grow by 480% and increase its price to around $10. “Aster has already done the hype in daily volume and in the daily income,” he said. According to CoinmarketCap, the Aster token is currently trading at around $1.83, compared to its all-time high of over $2.30.

Future Outlook

Aster’s token could gather by up to 35% and form new all-time highs in October, which is usually a good month for crypto prices, forecast analysts. The platform’s growth and increasing demand for eternal futures trading may contribute to its potential success.
