To help foster a secure and compliant digital asset ecosystem, Binance.US becomes the latest member of IVAN, a U.S. Government-led public-private initiative to counter criminal threats and activity.
Today Binance.US announced it has joined Illicit Virtual Asset Notification (IVAN), a public-private partnership (PPP) designed to identify and prevent illicit digital asset activity. IVAN, led by U.S. law enforcement, serves as an important intelligence sharing hub for partners, which include multiple U.S. federal law enforcement agencies alongside numerous private sector participants.
“By collaborating with law enforcement and industry partners, Binance.US continues to advance its focus on customer protection while upholding the highest standards for security and compliance,” said BJ Kang, Head of Investigations at Binance.US. “We are proud to join IVAN, a vital information and intelligence sharing platform that promotes security and builds trust within the digital assets sector.”
This partnership reflects Binance.US’ ongoing commitment to protecting customers, maintaining a world-class compliance program, and defending the digital asset ecosystem from new and emerging threats. Last month, Binance.US also joined the Crypto ISAC, a member-driven information sharing platform designed to “maintain a secure and trusted environment for industry participants”.
