Polygon Labs Teams Up with Cypher Capital to Expand Institutional Access in the Middle East

Polygon Labs has announced a strategic partnership with Cypher Capital, a Dubai-based investment firm, to increase institutional access to POL, the native asset of the Polygon blockchain, across the Middle East. This initiative marks the first in a series of efforts to bring professional investors into the direct infrastructure of Polygon.

The POL asset is positioned as an institutional-grade asset offering a real yield, with features such as round tables, liquidity improvements, and structured options tailored to funds, companies, and large allocators. According to Sandeep Nailwal, co-founder of Polygon, “The institutional demand for real yield in crypto is already high and continues to grow.” He added that the program aims to “unlock this value in institutional-grade opportunities and offer investors a way to achieve real yield by interacting directly with the economic engine of the Polygon ecosystem.”

Unlocking Institutional Access

Cypher Capital will play a crucial role in navigating regulatory and capital market settings, leveraging its expertise as a regional investment firm. The partnership is expected to emphasize core portfolio assets for professional investors, utilizing blockchain infrastructure, global payments, and real asset transactions. This move is part of a broader trend of blockchain projects building institutional pipelines in growth markets, where interest in digital assets and tokenized products is on the rise.

The announcement comes as Polygon continues to advance its “Gigagas” bike map, which has already delivered finality in under 5 seconds and throughput of up to 1,000 transactions per second, according to Nailwal. Future milestones aim to establish Polygon as a high-performance settlement layer for the “trustless Internet of value”. The rollout demonstrates a significant step forward in the development of institutional-grade infrastructure for blockchain projects.

A Growing Demand for Institutional-Grade Assets

The partnership between Polygon Labs and Cypher Capital highlights the growing demand for institutional-grade assets in the crypto space. As the market continues to evolve, investors are seeking secure, reliable, and high-yielding assets that can meet their investment needs. The POL program is well-positioned to address this demand, offering a unique combination of real yield, liquidity, and structured options.
