Solana’s Ecosystem Expansion: A Quarterly Report by Messari
A recent quarterly report by Messari has revealed a significant increase in Real-World Assets (RWAs) on the Solana network, with a notable expansion in the means of investment. The report highlights the growth of RWAs, which have increased by 124% year-to-date (YTD) to reach $390 million.
The Solana ecosystem continues to expand, with mixed metrics across various segments. The report shows a substantial increase in the assets of DeFi TVL and real-world assets, despite a decline in app revenue. One of the fastest-growing segments for Solana was real assets, with the RWA value rising by 124% to reach $390 million.
DeFi TVL and Liquid Staking Growth
The Solana DeFi TVL has risen by 30% quarter-over-quarter (QOQ) to reach $8.6 billion, making the Solana ecosystem the second-largest after Ethereum (ETH). The leading protocol remains the Jito Labs Liquid Staking Platform, with $2.87 billion in TVL. Sanctum, a newly launched liquid staking platform, has achieved sales of $2.18 billion just a few days after its launch.

Chain Revenue Decreases by 44% QOQ
Despite the strong growth of DeFi TVL and staking, not all metrics were positive. In particular, apps recorded a sales decline of 44% compared to the last quarter, decreasing to $576 million. The leading provider in sales generation remains Pump.Fun, with Axiom in second place.

The Validator fees fell even less, partly due to the new Alpine Glow consensus protocol, which lowers the validator costs.
